A dog-friendly stay at White House Cottages means space to roam, oodles of walks, and a few tasty treats to make you and your pooch feel right at home. Whether you’re here for a short break and a quick refresh or a long, leisurely escape in the countryside, we’ll make sure your cottage holiday feels effortless.
Walks from the Door
From the breathtaking Malvern Hills to the iconic Symonds Yat, Herefordshire promises plenty of outdoor adventures for you and your pup.
There are trails right from our doorstep too! Sniff out apple orchards, meadows, glades and woodlands, and when it’s time to rest those paws, you’ll find plenty of pet-friendly pubs nearby.

Enclosed Play Garden
Our dog-friendly holiday homes have access to a shared enclosed garden, giving your pooch a safe space to stretch their legs, play fetch, and roam—just in case that last walk didn’t quite tire them out!
The ‘Woofer Wash’
Muddy paws are all part of the adventure, and our Woofer Wash is here to help keep all that countryside where it belongs—outside!
Our dog wash station is fully equipped with dog-friendly shampoo, towels, and plenty of warm water, so you can easily keep your four-legged friend looking their best.
Dog Welcome Packs
Every pooch staying with us gets a special welcome pack, which includes:
- Delicious, W’ZIS? plant-based dog chews
- Cosy blankets
- A water bowl
- Poo bags
- Access to our Woofer Wash, complete with Faith in Nature dog shampoo, towels and warm water for a soothing post-walk clean-up.
Bike Rides with Your Dog
Ready to explore a little further? Why not take your dog on a bike ride? Rent one of our bikes and use our dog tag-along trailer to discover new sights and smells. It’s perfect for small to medium size dogs.
Book Your Dog-Friendly Getaway in Herefordshire
Whether it’s a big family holiday or just you and your bestie, White House Cottages is the perfect place for a dog-friendly break in Herefordshire and Mid Wales.
We charge £20 per dog to help us maintain our dog-friendly facilities and we donate 10% of the fee to The Dogs Trust. You can bring up to 2 dogs per cottage.
Doggy House Rules
To keep White House Cottages a welcoming place for everyone, we ask dog owners to follow these rules:
- A maximum of two well-behaved, house-trained dogs per cottage
- Please ensure dogs are never left unattended inside the cottage
- No dogs on beds—they can sit on the sofas using the provided dog throws
- Toilet breaks off-site where possible (our gardens are communal, but poo bags are provided)
- Dogs must be under control at all times for the comfort of other guests
- Please clean the cottage before departure, including removing pet hair from rugs
- Bring your own dog bed and food bowl (water bowls provided). A stair gate and small crate are available on request
- Certain dog breeds categorised as dangerous are not permitted
